Papers and Presentations

INCHE in collaboration with Daystar University invites you to participate in this conference to share about how the Biblical worldview has been weaved through both your personal life and professional endeavors. Participation in this conference will aid the overall strengthening of the Christian Fabric in African Higher Education. We therefore invite academics, administrators, educators, researchers, university students, church leaders, and other Christian community stakeholders to submit abstracts that explore practical strategies for integrating faith and learning. The abstracts can be in one or several of the following thematic areas.

 

Thematic areas:

1.     Integrating Christian faith, values, ethics or character into Higher Education

2.     Creating a holistic educational environment in Higher Education

3.     Developing Redemptive change agents in Higher Education

4.     Nurturing and strengthening the Christian foundation of Higher Education

5.     Foundations and Worldview in Biblical Integration

6.     Strategies and Implementation for implementing integration of faith and learning in higher education

7.     Challenges and Tensions of integration of faith and learning

8.     Historical and Regional Perspectives on strengthening Christian fabric in African higher education

9.     Holistic and interdisciplinary Integration of faith and learning.

10.  Weaving acts of love, Christian virtues and conduct into Campus life, fabric of administration, teaching and learning.

11.  Addressing corruption and negative attitudes towards schooling in African higher education: a Biblical perspective.

12.  Strengthening networking among Christians in African higher institutions.

13.  Nurturing character and responsibility to society in African higher education.

14.  The impact of rationalism, scientific revolution and secularization on Christian higher education in Africa.

 

Submission Guidelines:

§  Abstracts should be 250-300 words, outlining the premise of argumentation, main arguments, methodology, and expected outcomes of your paper or presentation.

§  Please submit your Abstract by following this link.

§  Full papers should be between 5,000-7,000 words, including references.

§  Full presentations should not be more than 20 minutes and 10 minutes for discussion. The presentations are expected in powerpoint form.

§  After the conference, select papers presented will be considered for publication in a refereed journal.

§  Papers and presentations must be original work and not under consideration by other publications.

§  All papers will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

 

Important Dates:

Early Abstract Submission Deadline: January 31st, 2025 

Final Abstract Submission Deadline: February 28th, 2025

Notification of Acceptance: March 30th, 2025

Full Paper Submission Deadline: May 1st, 2025
