Board Member Nominations
What does the INCHE Board do?
The INCHE Board of Directors serves an essential role in its focus on the central mission of our network, “to serve Jesus as Lord by fostering Christian higher education worldwide.” The board:
Develops and monitors the INCHE strategic plan.
Reviews each application for institutional or associate membership to consider fit with the INCHE mission.
Appoints the Executive Director and holds this leader accountable for the network’s membership, programs, finances, and partnerships.
Approves the annual INCHE budget and related member dues.
Who can be on the INCHE Board?
The INCHE board includes two regional representatives from each of our five global regions: Africa, Asia-Oceania, Europe, Latin America, and North America. INCHE leaders can serve up to six years on the network’s Board of Directors over two terms of three-years each. A description of current INCHE board members is available at: https://inche.one/board. These are mature leaders who have served Christian higher education in faculty and administrative positions for many years.
INCHE board members can be nominated by any INCHE member; and any INCHE member can express personal interest in serving on the Board of Directors.
When does the INCHE Board meet?
Normally, the board meets online in May and December to consider the above matters and also provide regular input into INCHE program plans.
What is the current need?
Over the next year, INCHE will have several openings for new board members in four of its five regions.
Currently, INCHE Africa has an open board position because of the unexpected December 2024 death of Dr. Faith Nguru, a committed board member from Daystar University in Kenya. Already, the board seeks nominees for this position.
Additionally, a board representative from Europe, Latin America, and North America will each complete two terms of service in December 2025. As a result, INCHE seeks nominees for board leadership from these three regions as well.
Please nominate INCHE leaders who can represent Africa, Europe, Latin America, and North America. Provide their name, current title, email address, and a brief description of why you are nominating this person by completing the form available here:
A global network for Christian higher education can be most effective when it is lead by a wise, mature, and knowledgeable Board of Directors. Please nominate such individuals between now and October 31, 2025.
