Dear INCHE Members,
In Grand Rapids right now we are gearing up for two INCHE-sponsored conferences next week: the Kuyers/INCHE/DeVries “Teaching and Student Wellbeing Amid Pervasive Change” (October 6-7) followed immediately by “Wisdom in the Age of AI” (October 8-10). This quarter’s newsletter addresses many of the same topics we will be discussing at these events.
But more than the content of workshops next week, what I am most looking forward to is seeing many of our INCHE members again and welcoming them to our community after meeting them in their contexts over the past year.
Connecting is one of the mission facets of INCHE, and the September issue of the Current newsletter highlights the ways INCHE members are connecting with each other and the communities around them:
The Latin American conference in July brought together experts who addressed specific regional concerns that are applicable globally.
INCHE Members around the world are exploring and using the creative arts to explore theology, connect with students and alumni, and engage with the broader community.
Institutions are building research and programs around local needs; creating solutions that benefit the community immediately around them.
Members are connecting through reading circles, planning meetings, and research collaboration.
We hope this newsletter encourages, inspires, and equips you in the important work you are doing and connects you with the myriad ways it is being accomplished around the world to the glory of God.
