The 2025 International Network for Christian Higher Education (INCHE) Conference jointly hosted by Handong Global University (HGU) in celebration of its 30th anniversary, explores the theme "Holistic Intelligence in Higher Education: A New Paradigm in the AI Era" at a time when artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming educational environments.

This academic gathering focuses on how higher education can promote holistic development—cognitive, spiritual, emotional, and ethical—as AI technologies reshape learning environments and social structures. Participants will systematically examine the practical aspects of AI technology alongside ethical considerations and theological frameworks, seeking approaches for educational institutions to effectively navigate digital transformation while remaining grounded in the Word of God. Fundamental questions about human identity in the digital age—what it means to be created in God's image and understanding human uniqueness and purpose as machines increasingly mimic human capabilities—will be central to our discussions.

The conference will also explore the new contexts for Christian mission and service that AI is creating across professional fields worldwide, discussing how Christians in various domains can harness AI systems that orient toward human flourishing rather than mere efficiency. This conference brings together diverse educational perspectives—from K-12 educators to seminary leaders to Handong Global University alumni scholars—providing a rich dialogue that will benefit and encourage Christian educators and stakeholders.

We invite you to join this valuable opportunity to collectively reimagine higher education for an age where technological advancement and human wisdom must work in harmony, exploring how institutions can prepare graduates who possess not only technical proficiency but holistic intelligence—approaching AI with ethical discernment, cultural sensitivity, and spiritual maturity.

This conference will include inspirational speakers, outstanding academic research, and many Christian professional development opportunities for faculty and administrative leaders. Throughout, there will be opportunities for hands-on work and personal reflection, allowing participants to share their insights and develop their educational practices. We also look forward to celebrating God’s faithfulness in both INCHE’s 50th and Handong University’s 30th anniversaries.

INCHE welcomes all those committed to higher education that is truly Christian, including practicing Christian professionals and alumni of colleges and universities. The conference will feature varied contributions and experiences from across the world. We extend a warm welcome to all international participants!
