INCHE India: Faculty Development Program on Leadership Skills for Mid-Senior Level Faculty

OBJECTIVES:

The Faculty Development Programme seeks to:

  • Strengthen leadership capacity among Mid-Senior-Level faculty, preparing them to take on greater responsibilities within their institutions,

  • Promote faith-informed leadership practices consistent with the mission and values of INCHE and the tradition of Christian higher education,

  • Develop administrative, mentoring, and decision-making skills essential for effective institutional governance,

  • Foster collaboration and peer learning among INCHE-affiliated colleges through networking and shared experiences and

  • Encourage reflective practices and value-based leadership to ensure holistic institutional growth.

    Methodology

    The Programme will adopt a participatory and practice-oriented approach through:

  • Expert Lectures and Keynote Sessions delivered by distinguished educationists,

  • Workshops and Case Studies addressing real-world academic leadership challenges and

  • Group Discussions and Role Plays designed to encourage collaborative problem-solving. Mentoring and Reflection Sessions focused on integrating Christian values into leadership practice.

    Expected Outcomes of the Programme

    At the end of the FDP, participants will

  • Acquire key leadership competencies to take on higher institutional responsibilities,

  • Be equipped to mentor junior faculty and students through a faithcentered approach,

  • Develop effective strategies for decision-making, team building, and conflict resolution,

  • Strengthen academic leadership grounded in service, excellence, and integrity and

  • Contribute actively to INCHE India's mission of nurturing Christian leadership in higher education.

    Target Group

    Mid-Senior-Level faculty with over 10 years of teaching experience from INCHE-affiliated Christian colleges in India, who are already engaged in or aspiring toward leadership and administrative roles.
